This patch will allow you to play through HL2: Uncertainty Principle with MMod's gameplay revisions and visual improvements.
- PRE-INSTALL REQUIREMENTS -
Before you install the patch, make sure that you have the following things installed:

- Go to the "Properties" tab. In the "Properites" tab, open the "Betas" menu.
- Change the "Select the beta you would opt into" option to "upcoming".

I never thought you could degrade an experience with MMod, but apparently you can!
Where to begin?
It takes half of forever to load onto the title screen, all of the presets/configs don't get transferred over from the other versions (including the community-made Mission Improbable patch), a lot of things simply don't get carried over from MMod itself (e.g. the Hud/hitmarker, the Zombie's HL1-esque sound effects, etc.), the broken lighting in certain levels, the insane difficulty in Normal mode.
Simply put, if anyone wants to play Uncertainty Principle, DO NOT USE THIS PATCH. PERIOD.
Out of the issues you have listed, I can confirm that the hitmarkers were not displaying properly. Everything else seems to be working fine, atleast on my end.
As for the difficulty spike, Uncertainty Principle was balanced around vanilla HL2 gameplay and not MMod's gameplay so a difficulty increase should be expected.
With that being said, I've just pushed out a 1.1 hot-fix update so please re-download the patch. If you encounter any other issues with V1.1 please report them to me so I can look into said issues and fix them.
It was working just fine for me. It didn't take any longer to load and most of the features seemed to work fine.
Pretty sure most of the issues are problems on your end, and not this patch.
After reading Biozeminade's comment, I felt compelled to see this for myself, and I can safely say that either IDKFA's patch fixed their criticisms, or Bio installed it incorrectly. Loading was normal, everything from MMod was present, the lighting looked fine, and the difficulty is as expected (I may not be a good example of that though, I got through nearly half the game on Hard with Better Combine Aim enabled w/ 5 deaths or so, so my view of what makes it a good challenge might not be a good judgement). As for the MMod configs not transferring over, I kinda had this problem with every 'other' MMod-mod, needing to reset it for almost every Half-Life game, so I don't think this was IDKFA's fault. Regardless, it's hardly something to get too annoyed about. If you install the original mod, MMod, and this compatibility patch correctly, everything should work, aside from the occasional Source-related bug or any bug caused by the creators of Uncertainty Principle itself.
This was a fantastic playthrough, I enjoyed this mod a ton in particular.
TIPS:
On the buggy segment when you get to the small Ant-lion cave, remove the Tau Cannon so you can keep it with you.
Be thorough when exploring, there are lots of hidden supply caches.
Whatas the difference between this and the "Southernmost Combine" ?? can i have both?
