I could be wrong, but I think if you disable them in options it disables them completely (i.e. they don't show up on the PDA or the HUD). With this they don't show up on the HUD, but you still get them on the PDA.

I didn't know this bothered people. I actually like geting that "ping" when I complete the mission.
Me too, I like when some news here, especially with commentary about founding artefact and later death (probably).

I do like getting the "ping", but I play with the HUD turned off, so I like not having the messages show up on the HUD. For me, having to check the PDA when you hear the "ping" adds to the immersion. Really, turning off the HUD in options SHOULD turn off the messages showing on it as well, but it doesn't. And if you turn off the messages, it disables them completely. So this is for people who want the messages on the PDA, but not the HUD.
Also, you can still get the "ping" with this if you don't install the sound folder.

I recommend adding a key with which you can hide the HUD messages, just hide them, without removing the sound from the PDA so that it is more immersive to listen to the sound and have to check the PDA

You mean that you want hide messages on screen, but keep the sound? Just install this addon without "sounds" folder.

For those who like immersion, there is nothing more irritating than being bombarded with text on the screen, often unnecessary, as is the case with this game, I'll ask you for another favor, I even paid you if necessary, you can complement this mod, doing another one where you remove the campfire text, (I don't need the game to tell me what to do when I'm in front of a campfire) how stupid is that? the same thing for all the items that can be picked up in the game, if I have all the information in my inventory, why do I need it on the screen too??? the only thing that in my opinion needs to be on the screen, is when you have companions.. I'd appreciate it if you could do that, it's fine..
