A simple addon to fix the combat issue of helicopter in Anomaly 1.5 (Thanks to Acemax!)
Helicopter Fix
Since the patch 2.2, the new helicopter combat logic bugged the helicopter. In patch 2.2 or above, helicopter won't attack any hostile creature, include stalkers and mutants. With this fix, they will now attack hostile stalkers and mutants, turning the zone into a warzone.

There is two files in the .rar file, one is called "new helicopter" and "old helicopter"
"new helicopter" will simply fix the combat issue of the helicopter, in patch 2.2 or above, the helicopter in either story mode or warfare mode, they won't attack anybody. Now they will attack hostile stalkers and mutants, also with new movement animations. BUT, the hit box is still quite strange. You may have issue to attack helicopter with only normal firearm.
"old helicopter" will restore the whole helicopter combat logic back to patch 2.0. UPDATE: From what I test, the old heli will be less aggressive on attacking NPC that stay in base, and most likely won't attack you if you don't fire at the heli at the first place (I still need someone to test it... I gave it a test run but I want to see how others situation.)
And what was the OLD behavior? Can you please tell me. I can't find the changelog.
Well... As I recall, there isn't a change log about it. But from what I observe, their movement is changed, for example, the old helicopter able to instantly take a 360° turn, meanwhile the new one have to do a more realistic maneuver. That is what I observe, but according to the movement, files, there is still some changes, which I don't know, maybe they might tell us later :)

If something did an instant 360 degree turn, how would you know?
360 degrees means you're facing the exact same direction.
but, How to command Heli ??? It's only target Player or Command Location before Heli spawn. After spawn, Heli do nothing.

You can only command helicopter in Warfare mode. By right click your one of your base point(make sure your have enough money to buy one) and buy a helicopter. Hope this helps :)
And what do you mean do nothing? Did you installed the addon and the helicopter still does nothing?

Yes, now the helicopter will attack hostile stalkers and mutants, but the hitbox is quite weird if you ask me... Trying to fix it today. :) so yes, It is destroyable, I tested it myself, but you need something better than just normal firearms xd
Nice, I may try on my next playthrough. When the earlier beta came out, you wee supposed to be able to target the tail rotor for faster takedown. Every time I tried caused instant CTD. Maybe this will prove better...

i don't know if your able to check this. But now the Helicopter target place like rookie village or Clear Sky base. And nobody take care of the helicopter nobody try to hide from the fire, or Shoot back, it's a bit immersion breaking

This was the original problem with Heli petrol's and the reason why it was nerfed in Beta 2.2.
You talk about helicopter targeting rookie village and Clear Sky base?
Yes thats what I'm talking about, Hinds will wipe out anything that is an enemy in its patrol area, including the bases. The NPC vs Heli script doesn't work and there are no restrictions on what the patrol will ignore. Quick solutions are shoot it down or move to another area that doesn't have a patrol.

But did the author fix the problem that causes the heli to attack everything, including places it's not ment to? e.g rookie village and clear sky base?
Cause if that hasn't been fixed then this is more of a break than a fix lol.
Ahhh... to be honest, I don't really know, because I NEVER test it on Rookie Village and Clear Sky base, I got a couple test run on warfare, it works fine in warfare, but never tested it in story mode, so you can have a try, and please let me know the result :)

Rookie Village is constantly attacked by helicopters. All npcs but wolf, sid and fanatic die leaving the place kinda empty.
Its kinda empty most of the time without this add-on and you forgot about Hip ;)
Great patch but the heli kills everything on the maps(Bases Too). And it arleady know where you are from the end of the map.
I see that many people talking about the helicopter killing everything... I will try to see what I can do about it xd, since I am not good at scripting and still got some other addons wanted to make, I might not able to fix that issue, if anyone have the ability to fix that, please help :c
And there is a very rare bug when the heli crash in a burning anomaly(Farm) at the great swamps the map lagging and the heli not respawn. Changed maps work fine and after turn of the heli patrols and sound the game freze or start laging more(Great Swamps).Loading or restart of the game not help also i rewert the old saves and it works fine.I don't think the patch making this.Thanks for the help.
I believe that is why the helicopter was disabled in the first place... the devs disable the heli in patch 2.2, I think they are trying to make a more realistic heli, but I put it back xd. I afraid I can't help you on this one... maybe you can upload this issue to the devs :)

I think it's to prevent story mode from breaking, it should be fine for helos to go after everything in warfare but not in story, i guess when the devs changed it because of story mode it also made helis not touch bases in warfare.
So this mod should fix helis for warfare but not touch helis in story mode (if that is even possible).
Or maybe since helis only attack when people are in certain smart terrains (or rather outside of) you could tweak some of the smart terrain sizes to be smaller, should cause helis to attack more no? While still keeping bases intact and such.

Is there a way to remove the helicopter / spawnpoint of it in cordon?
It's great to see it in action and clean the area yet the rookie village suffers from it all the same the second you start a new game there.

That is possible to remove it but then again... I forgot most of the files of Anomaly so I have to find the file that contain spawn details.
I can simply make it 1 hit point so that you can kill it with a rifle shot :)
