Description

This addon change the pace of progression by altering crafting/repair functionality, revising rewards dynamics and more. The intend is to prevent rapid progression to endgame while decreasing the hobo phase by introducing new repair kits available from the start of the game that allows fixing a variety of simple historical weapons, without the need for aquiring tools first. Overall the aim is to incentive scavenging for parts and provide more dilemmas and hard choices regarding repairing weapons and obtaining equipment in general.

It's great to see you're working on this still, I loved playing with this on my last run a while back. I recently downloaded the new gamma updates and went looking for this to see how your work was progressing, but I couldn't find it in the discord. That's great to hear progress is going well, I see you did another update too since I commented. I sadly haven't tried it out yet as I have a load order sorted at the moment and I don't have much time to game in the first place, but I will be sure to on an alternate profile when I get some time. I do have to mention though in place of your mod (since I thought it was gone) I have been using a new WIP mod called SIGMUND. I'm not sure if you're in the GAMMA discord still, but I'd recommend checking it out as I believe it would be of interest to you. And in my opinion, an adaptation of this mod and SIGMUND would complement each other very well. I was thinking of altering some of the mod for personal use to mirror your ideas, but I've yet to dig into SIGMUND itself enough and wanted to try it for what it was first. Either way, I thought I might mention it to you in case you would like to look yourself; again thank you for your time on this and I'll be sure to check it out soon.

I took a look, it seems to do alot of things this mod already does, however it also provide more depth and involves more mechanics (meds etc).

Seems very interesting, but both mods are likely incompatible/redundant as is.

Does your addon affect the spawn tier of GAMMA tools? Drop rates and tier remain unchanged?

Yes it does, mostly for lower maps less so for mid tier maps. Red forrest/limansk etc have higher tiers (higher chance for advanced/expert tools).

"Stash tiers are lower for southern and slightly lower for middle maps, northern maps are the same with comparatively better stash tiers."

Год назад я бы и не подумал, что буду ставить целенаправленно такой аддон. Спустя множеств прохождений Гаммы не хватает того самого анального жжения. Спасибо, без шуток. Через год буду ждать вторую версию.

A year ago, I wouldn't have thought I'd be putting such addon on purpose. After multiple playthroughs in GAMMA, it's missing that very burning feeling in ***. Thanks, no kidding. I'll be looking forward to the second version after another year.

I would love to try this mod, the only thing that holds me back is that enemies in 0.9.1 are way too tanky! I started with a mosin in Cordon and 2 shots are hardly enough to kill anyone. I too lose interest once I'm all geared up, but if you can balance the output damage that would be awesome. Anyway, thanx in advance!

So I figured I could increase the damage to 1.5X in the settings.
Was desperate to buy a detector to finish the first mission because the starting loadout is brutal and the guy just assumed I had one.
Now I'm at 50K just in Cordon
So far so good :)
Would have loved if you changed the strings in-game where applicable to not be confused with default gamma mechanics, like when it comes to tools stating it can maintain parts within the guns.

I'm updating the description everytime something significant changes.

These are the changes for the last 2 updates:

New repair+cleaning kits added: An additional repair+cleaning kit has been introduced that enables repair and changing parts for a selection of basic handguns, smgs and shotguns (old pms, scorpions and simple double barrel shotguns). Both kits are relatively cheap and can be bought from any technician at the start of the game.

Weapon, outfit and helmet repair kit reshuffeling:
- Older type Ak47/AKM, svt 40's and winchester1873 can be repaired using historical(B) repair kit.
- Early Vintorez type rifles can be repaired using army(C) repair kit.
- Historical pump action shotguns are repaired using historical(B) repair kit.
- Modern pump action shotguns are repaired using army(C) repair kit.
- All automatic shotguns are repaired using advanced(D) repair kit.
- CS-2b Body armor, PS5-R Scout vest, Isrit Guard Jumpsuit, Bear+Graphite Stalker suits and the PPM-88 gas mask are repaired using light repair kit.

But I will include a changelog going forward
