Ugh. Most overused sounds ever, no offense. I know, I know, the official pack uses the concrete sounds, but although I remember the original Half-Life fondly, those footstep sounds haunt me. Opposing Force had much-improved footstep sounds if I remember right. Or was that the Condition Zero sound effects?
Oh, man. There's an idea. For some odd reason, the Condition Zero devs replaced every single one of Half-Life's sound effects with much higher-quality versions. I can't imagine why, but they sounded great. Those footstep sounds would be EXCELLENT for Brutal Doom.
Counter Strike Condition Zero does *not* use the original sounds. They're named the same, but they went through the bizarre trouble of replacing each and every sound with higher-quality samples - right down to the incidental debris sounds.
OpFor I *know* features different footstep sounds.
This is a pack of Half-Life footsteps, not a pack of Counter-Strike footsteps.
I checked the sound files from Counter-Strike: Condition Zero and Deleted scenes, and they are COMPLETELY different.

I can do that if you want, but I'd rather not clutter up the addons page.
That'd be amazing. I've tried messing with making .pk3's - I can't seem to ever get anything working.
You can just edit your Add-On, hit the "Pen" on the right corner and upload a new version of this that includes much higher quality sounds.
No, the Counter-Strike: Condition Zero sounds are completely different and that kind of ruins the point of this pack.
That's not true. It uses the same sounds as Half-Life.

Only in Deleted Scenes.
What? So what? My point remains - the game's files contains updated sounds.
Whatever.
