A port of "Gore Mod 1.2 for CoC by L00" for Anomaly
GORE MOD ANOMALY PORT
This is a very simple and straightforward port of "GORE mod 1.2 for Call of Chernobyl" by L00 for Anomaly.
I just changed some texture filenames to match the ones in Anomaly's system.ltx to avoid modifying that file. The original mod did only minor changes to it, and I found that these aren't necessary for Anomaly.
CLICK HERE FOR THE ORIGINAL MOD
You can use the console to increase the time blood pools will remain visible. Taken from the original description:
If your PC is strong enough, you can raise the "r__wallmark_ttl" value in user.ltx or with the ingame console (²) to a maximum of 300. (eq. 5 minutes)
It means that all the bullet & blood decals will last for five minutes rather than one before fading out. (CoC default wallmarks value is 60. -eq. 1 minute)
NOTE: I don't take any credits for the included textures! They're unmodified taken from the original mod and only some filenames were changed to reflect the ones in Anomaly's original system configuration.
INSTALLATION
Just drop the textures folder into your gamedata folder.
*If L00 or anyone else should not be ok with this, I'll gently remove the addon.
So Nice & Worth It ! thx for port 10/10
when will the new mod pack drop?
XD haha soon brother man
oh cool does it take away blood trails though? like when someone bleeds
"If your PC is strong enough"
I'm just curious if decals are really that demanding in Stalker?
I did not notice any perfomance changes but I did not do any extra steps like the auother mentioned.
Very good addon, thank you!
@bvcx: Keep in mind that the original addon is from 2015, and so is that description. However there are still a lot people with good old potatoes :)
For me raising this value doesn't do anything to performance.
No they're not, and in Anomaly you can actually raise r__wallmark_ttl to 600, not just 300.
Does this also have an effect on the impact decals on characters that Anomaly introduced?
So I tested it and the bloodmarks are HUGE
Is there any way to make them smaller?
Since the addon only consists of texture files (and I just discovered that these were originally taken from Wolfster's Blood Mod), you can only change them by directly editing the textures.
However, The original mod made changes to system.ltx, which I want to avoid with Anomaly. But there you have some limited control over splashes and decals. If you want to do that for yourself, download the original mod and use aa tool like BCompare to check the blood/decal related changes from the modded system.ltx against the original one from Anomly (you have to unpack it from configs.db0). Beware that you ONLY should change settings related to the blood decals and textures.
Neat, you can't go wrong with more gore.
i dropped the files in the anomaly folder but it didnt change anything? help
same for me- didn't seem to change anything>? What's meant to change?
