Screw around with blending options for the residue trails. Stuff like darker outer glows with reduced fills might look good on them. Also don't forget to make grease smears rainbow colored. Try more interesting outer glows on panel lines (add noise, **** around with range, size, and spread).

1: My grease smears are, indeed, colored. Though, the color layer could easily be more opaque..
2: Hmm. Nice suggestions, I'll end up using them on future skins.
I actually like the more filled residue trails. Gives it a detailed but cartoony look.
That's just my opinion though...
