Fixed the randomize button so it actually randomizes your starting location instead of picking the first location from the list every time.
Try out the default randomizer for yourself to see what I'm talking about! No matter how many times you land on the Loner faction, your starting area will always be Rookie Village in Cordon. I fixed that shit so now it will pick from the whole list of locations for your faction B)
installation: drag and drop gamedata folder into COTZ directory :)
I love doing randomized iron man runs, so it was bothering me a lot that your location would always be the first in the list for whatever faction you were given. I made the slightest of modifications to how the faction selection script chooses it's default locations, and voila, true randomization. Just to clarify, you will still only get starting locations that are specific to whatever faction you're in.
Works as advertised
Also if you do not like the starting position presented, as usual, you can select the desired start location available for your faction from the dropdown menu before moving on to begin the game with your new character.
Randomization in general appears to be an issue in CoTZ. Random stashes often contain the same loot, so do reward stashes and reward stashes appear in pretty much the same places over and over, and the same probably goes for guitar players playing the same songs, joke lines, harmonica players, jobs offered, etc.
Could it be that Doc made a mistake applying randomization everywhere?
If so, a fix for this would be a definite entry into the Community Update.
