OGG music replacement pack as an alternative to FluidSynth. This file should be used with version 1.0 to 1.2 of the mod only.
THIS FILE IS FOR VERSION 1.0 TO 1.2 OF THE MOD ONLY!
If you are having trouble using the MIDIs or FluidSynth on your computer, you can use this file as an alternative. Load this file after the main mod and all the music will be replaced by the OGG files and will no longer depend on FluidSynth.
In the batch file example, you would do this:
start gzdoom.exe -file D64RTR[vx.x].WAD D64MUS.PK3
Credits to Aubrey Hodges for the Doom 64 soundtrack, and to Devalaous and Eris Falling for putting this file together.
Much better, was having troubles getting the midi file to work.
Excellent!
I have no problem with the SF2, but its a pain changing the Path everytime i want to use another soundfont.
Well that doesn't work for me. It still tries to load the Midi files.
(Update)
Ignore what I said, I sorted it out.
As long as the OGGs are forced to be loaded after the mod, it should override the MIDIs and play regardless of what the mod is trying to do. By default, the MIDIs will try to play with FluidSynth but since you are putting OGGs in their place the music plays fine since OGGs don't need to be synthesized.
i followed all the steps on how to change the music and its still not working could u help me out at all please

Yes, much better. Now I don't have to mess with my gzdoom_name.ini file every time I wanna play something like Doom II.
