3 level preview of what will eventually be a full 32 level megawad.
Made in Doom 2 format in Doom Builder 2.1.2.1553 without regard to Visplane count!
Started 3 weeks ago as an exercise to teach myself how to make levels for Doom 2. These are the first 3 completed levels for what will eventually be a full 32 level megawad.
Each level has a hard and easy way of completing them. That choice is made at the start of maps 2 and 3, but is only effective in the hellzone of level 1 as I wasn't sure I could even implement something like that at the time.
Difficulty levels have been implemented, but at this point I have spent most focus on balancing Ultra Violence difficulty. For this early preview release, lower difficulties may be a bit raw in terms of balance.
Each level has 5 secrets, split into three categories.
Type 1: Regular secrets, Wolf3D themed, always have 2 SS.
Type 2: Super Secret Secrets. As above, but always have a Soul, Mega or Invun sphere that is clearly visible from somewhere on the map.
Type 3: Fireblue shoutouts. Some of these may provide access to secrets from the other two categories, so worth hunting down.
Tested in Steam Port and GZDoom version g4.3.3, does not work in the Steam port unfortunately.
