de_hankagai was a bomb defusal map that was featured in Counter-Strike: Condition Zero during its developmen and was designed by Erik Doescher when Gearbox Software was responsible for the development of Counter-Strike: Condition Zero. It was very prominently featured in the media with multiple released screenshots and video coverage by gaming press including GameSpot, GameStar, PC Games and PC Action. The map made good use of the world prop model support and new particle emitters that had been added into Counter-Strike: Condition Zero. Perhaps due to this, it was considered the most beautiful map in the game by the German PC Games magazine. When Ritual Entertainment took over development of Counter-Strike: Condition Zero, the multiplayer map was presusmably scrapped. However, the textures, some of the geometry and the name of the map were reused for the single player mission Hankagai.
