Fixes crashes of NZK 3.0 (Anomaly + Dead Air) caused by 'remove_extra_ammo' returning a nil value. WARNING: I am not sure what long term effects this fix will have on your save, so use at your own risk! I have played for a few hours with this active and gone to maps that always crashed before with no issues using this fix. My broken save game now loads right up.
The reason it is experimental is because it disables the function 'remove_extra_ammo' in release_npc_inventory.script. I do not know what will happen after 10 or 20 or 30 hours of play without this function running, but so far I have not had a single issue with it after about 5 hours of play.
If anyone still has an old NZK save that would not load, give this a try and let me know if it works for you as well in the comments.
If you do run into problems / slowdowns down the road try going to a safe map that did not fail to load, save, disable the fix, load game so ammo cleanup happens, save, and enable the fix again.
I am working on getting a nil check working instead of disabling the function for a future update.
