HD texture pack of revised or replaced textures of half-life ReSrced.
Installation:
Unzip the common.zip into your materials folder that you have created into your Half-Life Resrced\valve folder.
Make sure your .cfg file has this in it: host_allow_materials "1"
Check the "allow materials" in the video options menu when you start the game.
Update 3: more HD textures replaced and some have been revised to be more accurate structurally.
Can also be used in xash.
The Half Life ReSrced textures looked a bit "melted" so I decided to start an overhaul pack. My aim is to make the textures as real as possible while at the same time stay true to the old half-life textures structurally.
My estimate is that I have revised and/or replaced about two thirds of the Resrced textures. The textures can be used if you have Half-Life Resrced installed and then you can play any mod you want and have the revised hd textures.
Additionally it is also possible to customise mod textures if you create a materials folder in your root mod directory and then in that materials folder a common folder. In that folder you put tga files with the names of the files in the wads or the bsp files. It is even possible to give hd textures to your models if you create a models folder in your common folder the <model name> folder and in that folder the specific named files that originally are in your model.
Very simple looking mods can look real nice this way. Enjoy.
What's the difference between this and the other one called "edited or replaced textures for half-life resourced"?
Hi, every time I upload a new file its an update of the previous, so more textures are then revised, changed to be more accurate structurally and are then not any more a resrced texture with that melted look. I mainly use realistic textures, mainly from textures.com to change the textures. I use paint shop pro to edit the textures.
