This is an add-on for CodeFX 2.0 that gives blood new sprites for floor splats and new decals for wall splats, upgrading (based on taste) the visuals even more than with just CodeFX by itself. Blood is now a much darker, more realistic shade, and drips a lot more. Wall decals also now have four times the visual variety.
Blood in CodeFX 2.0 will look much bloodier with this add-on tacked on. Make sure you add it so that it loads AFTER CodeFX 2.0. This means if you're using a loading/front end program that lists your mods in the order they will be loaded when you start the game, you want this upgrade to be below CodeFX in the list.
These decals started as an edit of Nash's Blood Decals, which introduced new opaque blood instead of alpha map blood like GZDoom's default kind. The decals were completely overhauled, then quadruped in variety thanks to the additions of re-worked GZDoom decals, edited Droplets decals, downscaled Doom 3 decals, and even a few downscaled Skyrim decals.
I just checked for an update of your awesome mod ..and see this !
Hey .any idea when you update the main version ? I am absolutely in love with your add-on .I was baffled when somebody asked me how I got the wind effects into ashes maps .That's your mod ?
Looks like comic style gusts of wind on the ground .
Also ..using it with maps like UNLOVED 2 gives an absolutely insane effect .whole house is covered with fog which looks absolutely incredible .
sadly on mobile it was unplayable
This add-on is specifically for the new version of the main mod. 2.0 is only a few days old. :)
No gusts of wind here though. Must have been something else!
Hey there .. your mod now has a compatibility issue with PBR LIQUIDS .. says something about a water shader ..any idea what that is and if it's fixable ?
That is not at all surprising. The new CodeFX has a custom liquid shader being used for water and blood, and PBR Liquids also uses a materials shader to apply the pbr effects to the liquids. Unfortunately you can't apply two different shaders to the same thing at the same time. GZDoom doesn't like that. If you don't want to lose out on using PBR Liquids, then you can open CodeFX.pk3 with Slade or 7Zip, and I THINK the only two files you would need to remove to resolve the conflict would be GLDEFS.FWATER and GLDEFS.BLOOD. If it looks screwed up though after you do that, then you will also need to remove animdefs.FWATER and animdefs.BLOOD. That should get the water and blood reverted back to vanilla so the PBR Liquids mod has complete control over it. If you do that, let me know how it goes!
