it was asked a lot in the comments of the LA mod, and i know its essentially a cheat, but... who cares! ^^
so, here it is for all of you feeling the need to get stronger, to carry those extra 200 guns +100000 rounds of ammo!
yup, just a 35000kg carry weight enhancer file!
i added some "0", so you can take everything with you!* :D click -->
if it does not work with your existing save, try to make a new save, restart the game and load that save. idk if it helps, just a suggestion! i did a new game! <-- that helps 100% ^^
what it does? LA:DC uses a skill system, you get skillpoints you can invest in more carry weight and runspeed, or better prices at shops and so on. so now you have to change the skill changing the carry weight in order to get a result ingame :D
so, every point in endurance should now give you around 500 carry weight (lost track of what the actual number is. i "know" its pretty easy to math but... im tired xD ). you dont need to put points into it for carry weight, but for sprint speed! ;)
you can of course change these values the way you see fit! like every other in this file, cheater! ;P
edit5: its a simple textfile, everyone can edit it. write a 50 instead of the 35000 and maybe 80 instead of 65000 and the same for the max. skill if my values are not to your liking :)
drop the "gamedata" folder right into the "S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Lost Alpha DC" folder, and you are done!
if you get inventory freezes after a while: it could be that you are carrying too much! the game cant handle too much stuff in your inventory! so if you open it or loot/want to buy something and it freezes for a sec or two everytime: get rid of things you dont need, like the 100000 rounds of ammo you dont use, or the 200 dupe guns! :D
eand yes, im in for feedback! if it works or not, or anything else to change/add/substract, cant help if you dont say whats going on! :) i made this file for myself, and i uploaded it here because it is asked a lot in the comment section. and i cant guarantee that it works perfect for everyone! (even if it should work for everyone using 1.4005 DC with the "Extended pack for LostAlpha DC [1.4005] v1.3" ^^)

edit: and i know its called 1.4006 in the menu when you install the extended 1.3, but its "only" 1.4005 with the Extended pack 1.3, so im not using 1.4006 in my title until they get this version up! ;)
Honestly, this is not really necessary as a car can do this for you
You can't bring car to the laboratory.
With this carry weight, it's possible to take a few cars with you into the laboratory and still walk out with all the loot.

Any way to get this to work with 1.3003? I am not running DC because of the weapon mods I am using, but you should also state in the description that this is for DC, because I had no idea why it was not working when I tried loading it.

you should try the normal way for removing the effect, just google it, i think there are some file tweaks and console commands out there!

idk what you want to change, and idk what causes your file problem. im not a modder, cant help you with anything there! sorry!
oh, and you cant delete the .db files after unapcking them and deleting all files but one, the actor.ltx. idk if you did that, but you have to have every file in the override folder, and delete none! you can delete the .db files after you unpacked them ALL. thats all i can say in regards to that problem!
if you unpacked ALL .db files from the FULL 1.4002 DC! the la_skills file is just right in the same folder as my file is in the .zip! :)
but i think you did check the filepath before coming here, didnt you? :D

if its not in there, you are using 1.3000 or something like that, or did not unpack ALL .db files!
gHOST, do me a flavour, as you have no doubt extracted the "misc" folder, from 1.4005, with the traders ltx, could you pop that folder up somewhere, I tried unpacking but my computer said "non",

I care. If the game was so structured that people felt a need for this kind of cheat, then the game fails to stand on its own merits.

its just a game, and a SP on top of that, noone gets hurt in the process!
you dont have to use it, and you certainly dont have to be offended by a mod for a mod ppl just want to enjoy the way they want ;)

Uh, NO. I disagree. HIH do you reach the conclusion that I am "offended by a mod"?
If there was anything that 'offended' me (there isn't) it might be that - so soon after release - the authors feel the need to be catering to peer pressure in re providing cheat options.
The game should stand or fall on its own merits. Not hide in some camouflaged hybrid state that detracts from the authors' intentions.

I have a weird problem with this mod, as soon as I use it all textures from NPCs get kind of white and shiny. Otherwise, it works splendidly. I'm using DC 1.4005 and Extended pack 1.3.

and tested it like: doing nothing to the game, no changing options, no file from me, see if it works, restart the game with the file, and again, doing nothing else.
i know, its like asking if you did a restart of your computer first if there is any weird problem to test if its gone after that ^^

delete one or two "0" zeros, and look if that causes the problem.
but... thats all i can say. idk what the connection could be if you did nothing that changed anything to make it look like that, because nothing else is changed. only the carry weight numbers.
