This addon replaces bdv21's standard shotgun with that from BD Black Edition, and includes the scope. I've added blur when you zoom in, in an attempt to replicate the effect that Sgt Mark has been adding to zoomed in weapons. Hope you enjoy, and please comment any suggestions.
To load, simply extract the pk3 from the rar and load with Brutal Doom v21.
Changelog:
-Re-aligned the iron sights sprites so that the scope is in alignment with the crosshair.
-Tweaked the sprint sprite.
-Fixed clipping.

you're faster than me i was going to tell you about the iron sight xD
cool one, but in the latest test of extermination day and bd, dunno if it's one of those two the problem, but the shotgun guys drop two sg instead of one, i don't think this sg is the problem since they are just sprites but well, i hope to see more black edition weapons :)
Hm that's odd. Definitely not a problem with this addon, just considering that it merely replaces the sprites rather than any mechanics. Definitely something that Sgt Mark should be aware of though.
Sprites look decent, but major Achilles' Heel is that the red-tint of the iron-sights is simply not transparent enough, often obstructing my vision, almost lethally so. Not even the flashlight can alleviate this problem, so I'll just stick with the default shotgun for now...
Tested on E2M1 of The Ultimate Doom v1.9, on Hurt Me Plenty, with BD21 Beta (Build DEC.16) applied.
I see what you mean. The blurring actually worsened the reddening effect. If you'd like, I'll update this tomorrow and it will contain a version without blur, which should fix the transparency issue. That way people can choose with version they want upon downloading.
Much appreciated, though I wonder if there's a way to isolate the red lens in such a way that it won't be affected by the depth-of-field effect?
That could be the case. I actually managed to erase a limited portion of the redness on the lens, although I couldn't isolate it completely. I'll play around with some other blurring effects tomorrow however to see if it can be remedied. I'm sure I can find something that allows me to manually select the radius of the effect rather than have it utterly permeate the image.
Update this please and fix the red tint of the iron sights. :)
fix the red iron sights man :)
i`m waiting too :)
thumbs up now - to eager you to fix it ;)
Hi can you release a version with the code and sound?
