Well, this is my first *real* map for Rune, and its quite big. This map is not recommended for small numbers of players. I have several versions made, make sure you play the right one as the itemization is a bit different to suit the different game styles.

Description : Well, this is my first *real* map for Rune, and

small numbers of players. I have several versions
made, make sure you play the right one as the
itemization is a bit different to suit the different
game styles. This was great map to make, taking
over 100 hours, and nearing its end would take over
2 hours to compile.
The map is essentially a fight between two
factions of evil, each fighting for the ancient
dwarven ruins beneath a river, and the powerful
relics within. When played CTT or Team style, play
consists of people equipping weaponry and then
getting in the longships provided and sailing across
the river to the other teams base and then raiding it.
When played DM, the spawn points are randomized a lot
more and play is more spread out.
Weapon placement is quite spread out, except for
beginning stockup areas, and one area inside the dwarven
ruins; except in DM, in which case the stockup areas have
been removed or reduced and their contents distributed
around the map.
There are little to no rune powers on this map. If you
play DM, there is only one Rune of Lesser Power on the map.
If you play CTT or Team Game, each player spawns in a small
sewer tunnel that has a goblin axe and a rune of lesser
power. This enables some of the weaker rune powers without
destroying game balance (like Spirit, Work Sword Lightning,
etc). There is one Rune of Bloodlust on the map. All the
Runes aside from the ones in the spawning areas of the CTT
and team games, have a respawn time of 2 minutes. This is
to reduce the amount of camping/hording of those items.
This map is so large, I seriously doubt you will see all
the areas of the map your first time though, in fact, I
recommend you use RuneEd to see the whole thing take make
sure you don't miss anything.
And, yes, the ruins are intentionally that dark. Not to
ruin gameplay, but because it was both logical and made
fighting down there more interesting.
NOTE: The Teamplay version of this map is being delayed
until HumanHead Studios releases a fix for the TeamNumber
problem currently within Rune's teamplay code. The CTT
version should be available soon after the DM version. I will
also hold onto the CTT version and mod it for Willhaven and
Hollywood's CTF mod when it comes out.
Items NOT on map : Hmm, in the Deathmatch version (which came with this readme),
all weapons should be available. If you're not finding the
weapon you are wanting most, you haven't looked in the right
places. =)

Installation
------------
Unzip the file DM-Jormugand into your RUNE\maps directory.
You can then choose DM-Jormugand from the Multiplayer game menu.
Known Bugs
------------
1. Slight problems with the farclipzone fog effect in the tunnels that lead to the
"observation balconies".
2. Occassional graphical glitches while under water after flooding in the ruins.
3. The longships have interesting problems with their boundaries and this makes it
difficult to sometimes throw weapons in and out of them.
4. The steps in the jotun staircases are too big for players to walk up, they have
to jump their way up. This is a massive undertaking to fix, so I will not implement,
however the pending CTT and teamplay versions may get this, depending on feedback.
