A Modpack that tries to improve the gameplay and atmosphere of CoTZ by using different Addons & lightning changes.

This modpack was made for the purpose of improving the ambient of the game, but it adds new guns, hand models, soundtracks, sprites & textures to the game.

It also readds a very sutile headbob and some cam_inertia.
Expect crashes! but they're not that common, only unhandled exceptions.
If you think of any addons i could put, put them on the comments and i will think about it!
Installation:
1.-Copy the "appdata" "database" & "gamedata" to a brand new CoTZ folder.
2.-Tweak your game settings to your preference i recommend playing on DirectX9 enhanced because is the most stable.
3.-It will look pretty dark on the menu, but ingame it looks normal, so i would recommend to not change the contrast, brightness and gamma settings, or change them after checking in-game
4.-Play!
PS: If you have lag problems with the particles, try the particle fix and put it inside the "gamedata" folder
if you feel that the game looks too dark, change sun_lumscale_amb to 0.4 and sun_lumscale_hemi to 0.9

I'm making changes to AO and MXAO all the time, so final result may differ a little bit (not so noticeable). Now I was merging COC 1.5 headbob also.
Interesting! i personally like the bloom like the one used on dead air! but i don't think my rig will resist the graphics sadly, how much impact on fps does the reshade make?
Yeah, the "modpack" I'm making has high performance impact, but my PC is like 5 years old and runs well (2390 at passmark). I'm trying to not abuse with reshade postprocess, the impact of reshade (enabling-disabling) I saw it's just a few frames, but the result it's a combination between mods+user config+reshade. I use like 2-3 postprocessors for change tonemaps, levels, contrast...
The problem is the 32-bit engine... I must play with noprefecth and here and there you've a memory crash (only loading maps) but the rest is totally playable.

Does this still include the original weapon damage from CoTZ? Really liked the gunplay
I think that the weapons do less damage than the original CoTZ guns, some values from the AO3 Weapon Damage Upgrade addon were added and edited as stated on the Readme pdf. You can check that addon if you feel that the weapons are weak.
It is different experience then a original CoTZ, and I like it. But... is there any chance to restore old minimap? One provided on addon page doesnt work right. :(
there's only one way, deleting the HUD addon, to do this delete this files:
gamedata>textures>ui>*ui_actor_hind_wnd.dds*
and
delete all the files on:gamedata>configs>ui
except *ui_dyn_huds.xml*
Then you can add the map restoration addon.

I like it a lot so far. Looks really nice. Only question i have is if i can set my aiming to hold to aim rather than toggle.
write on the command bar "wpn_aim_toggle 0" and it should desactivate!
...and command bar is when you push the ~ key?

EDIT: it may be because I have both -cotz weapon pack ...AND... -altosfera installed. :( i probly have to pick one
Yeah, that's probably the problem man, i'm pretty sure that the grenade is on AO, but it probably got replaced by something from the weapon pack, or vice-versa. I didn't even knew that you could have two gun mods on one.
Loving this modpack so far, it's been a lot of fun! One thing I noticed, though, is the ACOG scope sight seems to have the red arrow misaligned with the scope itself. Is there any fix for this?
Thanks for the feedback! you can check a big conversion pack that i'm working on on my profile's blogs, and for the misaligned sight, i think it is a models problem, so it is out of my posibilities to fix it.

hmmmm, i personally never put helicopters so i actually didn't tested it with it, when does this happens? i really don't understand what this CTD log means.
it was that crashed heli in the wildterritiory. it wasnt the helicopter that caused the crash, i mean its a static object. there was animals running through the electric anomalies on the tracks around the train to the northernmost part ...and the log has this (ros_zone_mine_electric_average_0009) in it, so i suppose it might be related.
Also, ever hear of scopes flipping the view upside down when you zoom in. It was the oddest thing. At the hunter mechanic in red forest i got my FN 2000 tactical upgraded, on the gun i have a scope (Trijicon TARS) and one of the upgrades said something about making my scope zoom 4X... so i was like, ok. But now it does a flip when I zoom it in :(
Yeah, also the vintorez sight seems broken too, i would not make scope upgrades on AO, apparently they're broken.
maybe is a effect from HollywoodVFX that ported wrong in CoTZ, probably they generated particles that the 32-bit engine doesn't support.
maybe... I went around that area after a few tries and it was ok and hasnt ctd like that since.
I also bought a new fn2000 and this time will upgrade with no scope on it and see what happens, but I'll save before so if I do put the scope on afterwards and its messed up i can just choose not to get that upgrade.
Sounds good and thinking about trying it out, but I really, really hate headbob. Is there an easy way to turn it off in the config or console?
the headbob is subtle, you almost can,t see it in-game, if you don't like it just delete the effectors file inside gamedata>configs>misc called "effectors"

...I get CTD while running, while in a firefight... sometimes while not moving at all or doing anything.
It seems to be more of a limitation of the engine for the 32 bit engine, i guess that's why there's not too much particles mods, you can do the next:
delete these files inside gamedata:
on configs:
delete the items and the weapons folders
on textures:
delete the ayykyu_fx, fozest, ,ghost particles and new_pfx folders
and the particles.xr file
this will delete the HollywoodFX addon, do a backup if you want. hopefully the constant crashes stop
the modpack is good but your user config was garbage and made the game look like ****, had to delete it and set default. Please dont include this in the future, most of us aren't playing on potatoes.
ok? the user config was added to change the illumination settings like the tonemaps velocity and amount change, it is set to 0.2 in original so it's pretty slow, paired with the sun_lumscale settings to make the shadows more strong on the light but more sutile on the dark, this can't be possible without putting the user.ltx file on the download.
I also stated on the description that you can change the things after download, just the brightness, gamma and contrast were recommended to change in-game, thanks for the tip btw, i'll think about it.
