A small addon for people who prefer the basics covered or just play Ironman mode a lot.
Tested with 1.5.2 and working.
All new characters (including their faction related items) will start with:

2X Combat backpack + (special item with 80 kg carry weight)
1X Sleeping bag

2X Pack of bolts
4X Bandage
4X Scientific medkit
4X Anti-radiation drugs
2X Anabiotics
4X Strong energy drink
2X MRE
1X AKM with attachments
930 rounds for AKM
4X F1 grenades
4X PFM-1 mines
2X Super secret arcade item (it may save your life)
2X LED Lantern (somehow was broken since Beta 3.0, the original model is now restored again and can be used by simply dropping the item on the floor)
The new game menu is also extended with large assortment of utility items you can buy with your 2000 starter points. I also fixed the LED lantern crash when trying to equip it as an artifact.
Added option for Lantern only however you have to find it in stashes or start new game and spawn with it.
Now go and follow your dreams.

What's the Portable Dynamo, and how do you use it? I've tried equipping it and using both primary fire and secondary fire and it doesn't seem to do anything.
I thought it was for recharging batteries but it don't work lol.

What parts are for just the lantern?
Don't use this file: gamedata\configs\items\settings\new_game_loadouts.ltx
I think the lantern is still being sold by traders since the description is still in base game files.
Anyway I just added the option to the zip however I didn't add it to traders because it could conflict with million other addons and the only way of getting the lantern is through random stashes or new game.
awesome! it says in description you fixed an equipping bug but i can't seem to equip the lantern? Is it only for floor use? Also, the lantern seems to be indestructible.
The option is always there but it won't equip or crash the game anymore. This mod was created based on an artifact script, there is no other way of making a portable dynamic object that emits light so far as I know. Just drop it on the floor to use it, no one is going to pick it up.
So it's a portable light source like the Glowsticks mod.
It's a port from CoC mod, glowsticks seem a step up from what I seen but this is much much simpler and older method.
The heck? The secret item has an eat_alcohol value of 5?! That's like drinking 25 shots of vodka!!!

Is there any possibility to put lantern in debug mode? I want a lot of them :)
You could start new game and edit new_game_loudouts.ltx config to spawn as many as you want. use this line: itm_lantern = false,10,0 change 10 to any value.
