Simple mod that replaces the main menu music with an extended and looped version of The Alien from the movie Annihilation.
Quick and simple mod I made because the idea had been lingering in my head for awhile, since The Shimmer always reminded me of The Zone with how they both alter and bend reality.
Click here to listen to the track.
Should be compatible with everything unless it changes gamedata/sounds/music/_anomaly_ilya_ponomarenko_day_one.ogg
Installation Tutorial:
For MO2 just click on the .rar file of my mod and then select OK.
For manual installation drag and drop or extract the gamedata folder into your main Anomaly directory.
Example: C:\GAMES\Anomaly
UPDATE:
I have just uploaded a new mod that replaces all of the Anomaly OST with tracks from Annihilation! Get it here
I must created account just to say thank you alot . I love that music . Fit perfect atmospere of my current play style.
It's a great score and fitting, seeing as the novel Annihilation echoed Roadside Picnic in obvious ways. It would be amazing to see this and few similar ones put together as music replacement throughout the game.
Yep! The main reason I decided to post this was to see if there were any other Annihilation fans within the community and if this could spark more Annihilation related mods in the future.
I don't know how to technically do it, but there are a few tunes from various places I'd personally combine for an interesting
if not slightly off-key rescoring.
Definitely few from Barrow's, Meditation theme by Artemiev (must be my personal favourite piece of music from any film ever), Knowledge of the Few and Third From the Centre by Atrium Carceri, Biosphere's Bergsbotn II and III are a few that come to mind if you're giving it a go. I'm a little bored of full-on ambient at this point, could change the pace a little.
I have no idea what Annihilation is but this song is really good and it fits Anomaly perfectly, I think I'll take a look at the book
PERFECT. I love this movie. Exclusion Zone cinema at its finest. Stalker vibes.
by the way, your addon gif image - is it from the original film with just some severe compression at work, or is it a sort of pixelart recreation?
Just a really compressed scene from the film
I love how the compression turned it into pixel art, interesting to know.
