I have a question. Do you know how to export new player models? I am looking for somebody to help me export new British player models for the North African campaign in my World War 2 mod called Battlefield 1944. I was also wanting to have possibly Nationalist Chinese faction as well. I was going to send private message but I don't see the option on your profile.

Just follow the tutorial here, I'm using 3ds max 8 and poe2 tool with it. It shouldn't be too difficult as it already have the skinning bone preset.
the question is...how do i install these? i've only done this stuff with weapons (and someone's helicopter) so i'm not sure with what i should do to put them in the game, will it be risky?
Install in the soldiers folder of your object file. Then edit the init con of map you want to use them, just change the xxx_soldier to the name of the said anime character and you should be good to go.
so if i were to replace the SAS in Ghost Town, would i have to replace "SAS_soldier"/"SAS_heavy_soldier" or replace SAS_(specops, assault etc)?
okay, i turns out that when i replaced the SAS soldier in the Spec Ops class with Maki, both her and the original model seems to have merged together for some reason. there are black pouches clipped to her skirt, a holster (i think it's a holster) on her right thigh and there seems to be something around her neck and i think there's a bit of the tactical vest on her chest. i have a feeling that i did something wrong.
no dude. its an original glitch when you combine a different soldier model with the kit model. maybe you need to add this to SAS_Specops.con in the kits client file "ObjectTemplate.geometry.kit 9" so there are no any model from the specops kit when you combine this kit to your anime soldiers you have downloaded. and you can do this to almost every kit so it doesnt combine with the other kits.
It isn't really a glitch, since the soldier model and the kit model are separate to each other, change the soldier model alone won't affect the kit model. For my solution, open the xxx_kit.con and xxx_common.con in the kit folder, and add "rem" before those "skinnedmesh", "geometry" and "simpleobject" lines and the kit model should be invisible, note that it will also render the drop kit invisible so there's probably a better solution than this exists.
this solution actually worked despite that the other original soldiers aren't wearing their gear anymore but i'll probably have to figure out a way around that one.
oh yeah, i forgot that you can actually add rem to the geometrytemplate lol

Updated : polished up Kurumi skinnedmesh as her skirt won't be cliping with her thighs now. It was hard to get a perfect result as BF2 supports neither cloth physic nor bones on cloth.

Just throw everything in object_server.zip/soldiers folder, then go to the server.zip of the map you want to use these characters, open the init.con with notepad and replace xxx_soldier with the character you want to use.
