Replaced old sprites of items. All other new sprites in Brutal Doom v20b not changed. Total 61 new sprites.
In Brutal Doom was still many old sprites of items. So I decided to completely replace old sprites on new. Most of them are taken from other mods and addons (Project Brutality, Brutal Doom: Redemption, Hell on Earth: Starter Pack, Beautiful Doom, JDUI Brutal Doom).
I edited sprites at my opinion. For example, I never liked medieval bottle with health bonus or ancient helmet (and armor too). I always thought it looks stupid in the sci-fi genre of Doom. So I tried to choose and edit these sprites to make them more realistic.
Replaced only old sprites of items. All other new sprites in Brutal Doom v20b not changed.
New sprites of items:
- Health bonus
- Armor bonus
- Light armor
- Heavy armor
- Medikit
- Stimpack
- Night Vision
- Radiation Suit
- Soulsphere
- Megasphere
- Invulnerability
- Invisibility
- Card Keys

- Ammo for Plasma Gun and BFG-9000 (clip / pack)
- Chainsaw
- BFG-9000
Total 61 sprites.
Now in Brutal Doom v20b all sprites of items are completely new.

I couldn't agree more!! I look forward to trying this mod and i hope it works with Brutal Pack and as that is my fav incarnation of Brutal Doom! :)
Couple of critiques:
1. Can you make the helmet icons a bit bigger?
2. The blue flashing healthpacks don't really fit with the rest of the sprites and seem very out of place.
1. Hm, I think helmet fine. I not edited him.
2. I made health bonus myself. I just decided made more realistic sprite than medival bottle. Maybe health bonus little big and need to make slightly less. I have no other ideas.
Can this be used without Brutal DOOM?
Seems like yes.
It can work on about anything(including the Freedoom series). I haven't tried it on PB 2.03/3.0 because most of the sprites are from the aforementioned mod.
