Description

Story You take on the role of a Rebel Agent sent to investigate suspected smuggler activity in the Outer Rim. What you end up finding may change the fate of the entire galaxy. Game Play Tips It is up to you, the player, to seek out the blank, "black textured" computer terminals to learn about what is going on here. Just use the "use" key. Through this information you will be able to piece together the story. It is also up to you to take the time and look around to try and get an idea on what is going on. There are ladders, too. To navigate a ladder that is down a shaft in the floor, simply crouch before the opening and walk towards the ladder. You will navigate down the ladder shaft perfectly every time. Ladders in the wall just require traditional up/down movement w/ the mouse or keyboard. Make sure you read the Read Me for installation and other information and I hope you enjoy my project.

Just finished playing this and I feel like reviewing it. Ok, where do I start? I had a lot of fun playing this. The level design is pretty good and to the point, with no secret areas and it has a Half-life feel to it that makes me like it even more. The plot is kind of silly, but in a good way. There are some real life humorous references that made me giggle from time to time, though I'm not sure if everyone will be so cool about it, what with it not being part of the Star Wars universe and all. I found the enemies to be far deadlier than in the vanilla game, but maybe that's because I'm used to killing entire platoons in a few seconds with a lightsaber.
My only complaint would be the lack of music to add to the overall experience. I found that using the same dynamic music from the original game was effective, so if you ever release a sequel, you could re-release this mod with music as well, as long as using Star Wars music isn't illegal. You should also include a custom gamestart file next time. It's a simple thing, and some may not even notice you did it, but it adds to a profesionally made mod
Overall, this is a fun, straightforward level pack that will especially please fans of classic FPS. The lack of music takes something away from the overall experience, but can be solved by opening the console and typing "music *desired level's name*". Definitely on par with base JO. 9/10

Hey Ivanhora,

I'm glad you liked it. Yes, this is not for the Star Wars purists, but, I'm a big Half Life series fan as well as Star Wars and I wanted to combine both. The plot was basically the one from the movie Strange Brew.

I understand about the music but when I play a FPS I usually shut it off. Maybe whoever makes the JKA version can implement it there. There were ambient sounds used all over so it still isn't a dead environment sound wise. I wasn't aware of custom gamestart files, but, this was one long one-man project and I had to make concessions somewhere.

The enemies seem deadlier because everyone is scripted. Aim, aggression, alt-fire E11's, and other tweaks really bring the difficulty out. In fact, all NPC movement is scripted as well.

Overall, I'm glad you enjoyed it and had fun and a few laughs while playing it. That is what I set out to do in the first place.

Could you upload the Read Me? There is only .pk3 file, and I don't know how to start the level...
