These files expand every light source by 10% for every map. While it doesn't increase the brightness of the game, the light sources cover more surface area and better illuminate most dark places. If there's no light source in the map, it's still going to be dark, but the reach that each light has will be 10% wider.

If you run the program yourself, keep in mind that Doom 3 will take about an hour and a half to render due to the amount of light sources and maps, Resurrection of Evil will take about thirty minutes, and The Lost Mission will take about twenty minutes.
