This month in modding...
October brings us another great month of mod releases, including many entries into the Make Something Unreal contest. We've even got a another contest with some great prizes-including hardware and copies of Left 4 Dead. Read on to see all the featured content in the last month and grab the latest downloads all the standout releases of October.
The recent release of Fallout 3 has sent many to on a quest to re-explore the series' roots. As a result, we have put together a roundup of the greatest mods for Fallout 2 to help extend your foray into nostalgic post-apocalyptic wastelands. Enjoy!
ModDB was first on the scene with the preview for one of the most hotly anticipated mods in recent memory. Does Portal: Prelude live up to the hype? Read the preview to find out and then download it from their profile to give a go yourself.
ModDB interviews Sjoerd "Hourences" De Jong, one of the developers behind The Ball for UT3. If you haven't tried it yet, the cumulative second release-Oztoc-of The Ball mod is available to download on ModDB. Part 3 can be expected to release sometime around the deadline of phase 3 of the MSU (May 15th, 2009).

The long and short of it is we have some great prizes to give away and we want to see some creative output from you guys. Design your own version of an additional survivor or boss infected that looks like it would fit into the Left 4 Dead universe (download game media here). Entries can be 2D or 3D (no monochrome models or wireframes, please), or even a mix of both.
