I'm hoping to play this mod as soon as I get a chance but I have watched a few snippets of LingYan203's playthrough and it looks very promising. I like the fact
it has different ceiling colors unlike the mac and console port versions being all grey.
Also as soon as my PD Wolf level sets are finished I'm hoping to port 30 maps that take the same slots as the original like E1L1 as level 1-1, E1L7 as 1-2
and so on and edit them the same way the Second Encounter maps were edited so
my level packs will be very similar. The release of the source code also means
I can tweak the ceilings more easily if I need to. I'm glad I'm not the only person who still works with the Dos Source Code mainly because I can't compile
SDL.
Sure thing! It's always nice to see a new mod, or at least a mappack and hopefully they will spread the message and manage to keep DOS alive as well!
Could you add the Mac Textures and Sounds to this mod for authenticity to the Mac version as well?
No.
This mod was meant to recreate the second encounter whilst keeping the original game's atmosphere, visuals and sounds.
There's already lots of mods or TCs that did that, like MacenWolf and the MAC-enstein 3D encounters.
