Why am I making the HD games? Star Control 2 is a game I love, but the graphics are really dated. This has turned a lot of people off in trying this awesome game. The whole goal of the project is to get new people to enjoy the game. Getting new fans is probably the only way we'll get a "true" sequel. Some things may feel dated so certain things will change but it will still remain very true to the original.
Some planned new features:
- High Definition artwork
- Easy install for Russian, Spanish, and German translations.
- Choose from 2D or Pre-rendered 3D Hi-Res Ships.
- New Multiplayer features like the "Adjusted Price Mod"
- New Optional Ships you can play in Multiplayer.
- Updated user interface.
- Voices (and better voices than the 3DO version).
- Play in the new Hi-Res modes, OR with the original graphics.
- Available on Windows, Mac, Linux, and Android devices.
Of course this may all change depending on the help I get.
