United Coalition Mod For BF2 We are building this mod to fix the lack of Canadian Representation in the FPS gaming industry, and to build gameplay to surpass that of the vanilla BF2 encampment. It is based upon current operations in Afghanistan, mainly in the Panjawai and surrounding districts. All new content includes but is not limited to vehicles, weapons, static objects, effects, maps. Currently have a 6 man team working hard on the mod. We have opennings for a mapper, texture artist, and testers ( previous testing experience is preferred).

United Coalition Media Update February 2007

Hey All,
Welcome to our new website, this one should be the permanent home to our site, sorry for the past problems with connecting, my last press release mistakenly had the weblink wrong. We have had a lot happening in January. We have picked up some new members, as well we had some go on to other things. I would like to congratulate Cpt.Smiley on getting a job in gaming....paid to do this stuff.....a dream.

Our latest internal build has brought some new weaponry into game. The Canadian Antitank kit gets a hard punch using the Javelin AT developed by SatNav of BFSP fame. Our new weapons modeler mohtab has the INS firing back with a new RPG-7. And to balance our new battle plans out INS is equipped with the Sa-7 portable missile by Matte. Matte has also made a Canadian M13 grenade that Anton has skinned so well you wont want to throw it away.

Along with his Static modelling, Carib has gone the extra mile and has a totally new version of the RG-31 Nyala in development. Canadian and American forces will both get it, with separate skins. Also in the pic are a few new desert statics. The modelling team has openings for skinners, those with the talent, time, and pride in their work. We are in need of skinners to meet our release date deadline (still under wraps)

I want to send a welcome out to Conker who has just joined the GFX team, he has rendered our new official logo which will soon be everywhere you look :) Its shadowed in the watermark, and viewable on the website banner. Also joinning the team for modelling are Mohtab and Mils, doing some very fine work right out of the gate bringing new weapons into the mod and cleaning up some that were in development.

The mapping team has been going crazy with new things. The Avalanche map is near ready, just needs the 64player layer then testing. There are three new maps in development, Operation Medusa that takes place during the fall of 2006 in the Panjawaii district, and Road to Panjawaii an adjoining map that sees the CAF trying to get to Maasum Gar from Kanadahar in the winter of 2006-2007. And a very small infantry only map called Objective6A3 that will have people in a frenzy.

We have put a lot of time and thought into the basic game play of the mod. How to make it a mod and not just a booster pack. We are testing an idea to make the game play out like the real tactics seen in Iraq and Afghanistan. Where the INS is a light and fast force, while Coalition Forces are bogged down with heavy vehicles. This includes taking out aircraft and armour for the INS troops, but brings the individual firepower to the soldier higher. The ideas in play now are VBIEDs, IEDs, and portable AA. The commander may or may not be taken from the game as a player controlled UAV and artillery system are on the drawing boards.

The Mod team has some openings for Mappers, Modelers, Skinner, Coders, and Exporters. Help with these areas will sure to speed up the release of the mod. If your interested in joining please have your samples ready and come to:
