Can I restore backups of a game one I have died or been killed? If so how do I do this? Am I missing something?
Click backups button, find the right save and move it one folder up. Then remove the timestamp and file extension from the file name. So for example rename "2020-05-26 00.05.14-sandbox4.backup" -> "sandbox4". There's only 20 backups so if you have saved some other save 20 times your old backup has been deleted.
having problems with the new version not opening up. the previous version opens up but cant load up a save game i get a blank option. not playing on steam version im on windows store one any way i can link to you a crash report save me posting all on here thanks in advance

If you tell me TLD save files location for microsoft store I`ll try to fix editor. If you didnt know where they are - try to search localtion of file "user001.62505".

pt_djefferson, Windows store version save files are named differently. You can check commit ebb5d1f where I deleted the (non working) UWP code. Never got it to work because I don't have UWP version. File names seemed pretty random so you pretty much have to try to load them all to see which are valid saves and which are not.

Editor opens for a brief second, then closes. v2.16.1.2 works fine. Not sure if anyone else encountered this.

Im getting a crash.txt file and the window isnt opening when i try to run the save editor 2.. i dunno what to do. im currently using the v1.76 on steam (i used the time capsule option, using the beta code from hinternad's website to get this version of the game officialy). Pls some help would be nice since im lost. Thanks a lot!
Send the contents of crash.txt (link to pastebin.com or similar). You don't need to use 1.76, it probably works with 1.77 as well.

Are you sure you extracted everything? Seems like the lib folder containing MaterialDesignThemes.Wpf.dll is missing. It needs to be in the same folder as the exe.

Hi, When I do any changes, add an item, change my position, I save it in the editor. Then I go to the game, load the save file and there are no changes at all. What do I do wrong?
Hi, you need to restart the game to see the changes, because the game loads all saves to memory on start.

Is there something that's not working? As far as I know, all that's changed is 2 new items.
New limited-time game mode event added as well, with two new badges only obtainable during the event; one associated with survival of 25 consecutive days in the event game mode, and the other with consumption of 25 Ketchup Chips and Maple Syrup in any number of event game mode runs.
Editor doesn't seem to show or allow adding (or removing) the new items, the Ketchup Chips and the Maple Syrup, to (or from) the inventory.

Would you be willing to explain how someone would pick up where you left off? I never use C# and have almost no experience with Unity, so I don't know how to get to a point where I can meaningfully interact with your code.
I just realized I wasn't signed in when I posted this.
To clarify, I'm not asking how to program in C#, I'm asking what I have to do to set up the environment. Like do I have to have unity installed, or is there a specific IDE for this?
(I do computational physics and microcontroller stuff, so if this were C or C++ or FORTRAN I'd be fine, lol)
Hi, the code is available here: Github.com You'll need Visual Studio (not vs code). Project should open up with it and run without any additonal config. You won't need Unity, as this editor only edits save files. If you have further issues, you can contact me on Discord: FINDarkside#1337
