The Last Offensive (Die letzte Offensive) is a realistic modification for Battlefield2. It's main focus is up to the fictive scenarios in the years 1944-1947. The historic correct szenarios constitute the Endkampf? (the last battles) at the end of 1944 and 1945. In the fictive scenarios we go one step further, as if the war didn?t end, to the year 1947. The difference is in the weapons; heavy tanks, Jets, better handguns; all this consisted only as prototypes, wooden models or just as a simple plan. The realism will be shown among other things in the properties of the weapons. In plain language: You wont hit something with a submachine gun if it is 2km away, but tanks might be destructively with one shot at the same distance. But weak Tanks will be powerless against heavy Tanks (a 37mm projectile wont cause any damage if it hit the front of a T-34). In the historic correct scenarios you could only use weapons which where constituted this time. At this moment only showplaces are planed...
