TRIBES: Fast Attack Canned, T2 Relaunch
A report on HomeLan Fed has word out of the Tribes Council dealie that Tribes Fast Attack, the planned PC TRIBES game with enhanced single-player play has been cancelled. The reason given was this: "Tribes project manager Alex Rodberg explained that the main new feature in Tribes: Fast Attack (the single player campaign) was simply too similar to the single player modes in Tribes 2 and not what Sierra wanted to offer for single player PC Tribes play."
The new plan is to re-launch TRIBES 2 as a discount-priced product at the end of September which will include: "the new patch that's being developed by Garage Games, two new mods (CompMod and TeamRabbit 2) each of which will contain new maps as well as 10 classic Tribes 1 maps remade for Tribes 2."
