Runner's Doom 3 v1.5 is released. The update makes you remember the feeling you had when you first played Doom3.

Runner's Doom 3 is now version 1.5.
Test playing this version reminded me of the first time I played Doom3.
I want to share this feeling with you guys. <3

Changes:
(Original Doom 3(2004) users only) Fixed a bug that caused the double-barreled shotgun to look poor.(Sorry I left it for so long xP)
(Original Doom 3(2004) users only) To prevent errors and lag, the number of bullets fired simultaneously in a double-barreled shotgun was reduced by half. (Spread and total damage remains the same)
(BFG Hi Def users only) Fixed reduced damage of pistol, fists, and chainsaw.
"Random Encounter" became "Real Random Encounter".(Original campaign only)


What is "Real Random Encounter" ?

As some of you may have noticed, the randomness of the "Random Encounter" used to be a false randomness.
In fact, enemies spawned at existing spawn points and scattered from there to various locations.
As a result, enemies sometimes clumped together in one place, and new enemies did not spawn in areas where there were none to begin with.
With the new "Random Encounter," this is no longer the case. This is because nearly 100 to 200 new spawn points have been added to each map in almost all of the original campaigns.(Note: This was done with scripts and .def files only, no map files were edited. In other words, it is compatible with other mods (such as HiDef) that edit map files.)
Enemies really do spawn DIRECTLY in various locations on the map, and they roam around, waiting for you to come to them.
Therefore, the knowledge of where the enemy spawns is no longer useful.
You cannot predict, as you used to, "There should be fewer enemies in this area."
The attitude of "there should have been no enemies here" is no longer tolerated.
You no longer know what is behind the door.(Even the doors you've been through!) You will once again experience the tension you felt the first time you played Doom 3.

Note: The results of "Random Encounter" are, as the name implies, random. You will probably get a completely different result from the above screenshots.
Note2: The old "Random Encounter" has not been removed. The old "Random Encounter" will work on maps other than the original campaign (Resurrection of Evil, The Lost Mission, etc.).


This update contains scripts update, so you will fail to load your save data after updating.
Please use console commands to revert your game condition.
