Hello everyone!
Recently we've started an image contest within the discord server to prepare for the new site's launch and the release of 3.0!
To celebrate the site's overhaul, we've decided to use it as a chance to show off things that people create in Rise of the East!

The categories are as follows:
- Pretty bases
- Imminent action
Albeit an ambush set-up that is about to strike on a roaming army, a fortress that is about to be attacked or just a battle that is about to ensue, just try to capture "That moment" right before it's about to begin
- A soldier's tale.
Do you think your image can tell a story? Submit an image, optionally supplied with a story of maximum 150 characters. (Let your image submission do most of the talking!)
The Rules:
- RotE submissions only.
- Submissions will be locked at the 20th of August, 8PM Amsterdam Time (+2 GMT)
- Submit it in #image-contest-submissions
- The judges are: @Solacex, @ayylmao and @DeleteJets
Not allowed:
- Rulesmd edits that use units, effects or anything else from other mods
- Using maps from other mods that are not made by yourself and do not have permission using.
- Using another user's submission as a base for your own.
What is allowed:
- Rulesmd edits (E.g. to disable weapons, cause things to have bigger AoE and so on)
- Using the map editor (And thus also making your own map)
- Using a friend to help you set things up and submit the image together (Mention that you're a duo in the description, do not submit separately)
You'll be disqualified when doing any of the things listed as "Not allowed
Other optional info:
Some people have asked for what the canon colours are for different factions and thus we've done some discussions to come up with a list! These colours can be currently found when you switch to the beta server (Options -> Updater -> Server -> Beta server)
Your submission's rating will NOT be influenced by the colour you've picked.
The colours and their factions are listed below:
America - Dodger Blue
Germany - Uranium
Japan - Honeydew
Russia - Red
Ukraine - Amethyst
Iraq - Caramel
PsiCorps - Violet
Genesis - Sky Blue
Specter - Orphiment
China - Xanthic
North Korea - Jade
Vietnam - Wine
Scorpion Cell - Pink
Scarab Cell - Fern
Cobra Cell - Turquoise

im so happy to hear that the mod is still in development, i really could not believe of how capable still is this old ra2 engine. with low end pc you get a maximum fun gameplay, that i seem to like even better than kanes wrath. im just in love with this modern look of UI, factions, colors, everything.
Did you use neural net thing to generate those portraits? Really cool but Allies and Asia ones definitely give some generated portrait vibes with their eyes.
They definitely need some post-processing, as those decorative elements on their uniforms look a bit chaotic. The idea itself is good and unexpected though, but I expected the allied commander to look a bit younger xD But I especially love the Yuri one
I used Midjourney. Overall better than what Ayy or I can create :p
They are also more introductionary (portrait)commanders than what will actually be used ingame. Or maybe.. We'll see haha
The Yuri one is my favourite. Seems to be a popular one!
PS: For allies I used the Generals 2: "Bulldog" character as a base prompt that the AI could derive from. Hence why the looks the way he does
