Due to the recent wave of "Mod dead!" and "When is the release?", we decided to release a small article to explain what's going on at present with Men of the Emperor.
This is not the same mod that started in March 2011. The original team has since dispersed and went on to do their own projects or left modding altogether, as of March 2012 the team consisted of team leader ☢SRB-CausesOrange☢, mapper RaZzOR_334 and modeler Chompster with the recent arrival of Luthorian as exporter and coder. With his arrival, it was decided that all old assets from the previous team were to be discarded and the mod started all over again with a new story, new factions and using only models created by our team (which you can find in the gallery).
As such, the current Men of the Emperor: Burning Horizon officially began in March 2012, with the team members written as well as a few more that have since joined to help with other duties, sadly none of them involve texturing although there have been a few texture artists that offered their help with specific models.
We have plenty we want to show you in-game, we just refuse to show untextured models outside of renders. So once again I welcome the help of any texture artist that wishes to help us bring Warhammer 40K into Men of War. Until then we won't be able to release any content for our watchers but work will go on all the same.
