In the Noble Brightness of the near future, there is only peace. The year is 2180. A small colony of humans have established themselves in the far away reaches of the inner rim. But contact with Earth has never been established. The United Planets stand alone against an increasingly inhospitable sector, alone against the infinite darkness. And it is not just the local fauna they must fight. As with any large enough group of people, they began to segregate themselves from one another. A rigid caste system split the populace, and in the twenty years hence its institution, relations have only soured. Tensions have reached their peak, and hostilities have erupted on the outer colony Howoz. And there is another, far darker threat, looming to corrupt them all.

Report RSS Improvements to the mod

Hi all! I've been working hard to add improve and expand the Liberator 2.0.3 mod, and I want to post an update to what I've been doing. Here is a list of changes in the mod, going as far back as the beginning.

Units

Enforcer - Made more expensive, with heavy armour as well. Has a new ability - "Holographic Grenade" - which allows him to create two illusions of the targeted unit. Wields an armour-piercing Halberd, which deals more damage to large units. Does Enemy splash damage.

Stormmarine - Made cheaper, to reflect the El'nek's expend-ability. Has lighter armour than the Enforcer, but decent nonetheless. Has a rapid-fire, long-range machine gun that deals more damage to small units. Deals aerial splash damage.

Centurion - Focused more into the role of a battlefield support unit integral to a player's arsenal. Can use Defensive Matrix, as well as "Tesla Grenade", which is basically just Psionic Storm.

Cataphract - Name changed from "Janissary". Has very high health and very high shields, along with seven armour. The Cataphract also does a flamethrower attack that ignores armour. A "Concussive Grenade"(Maelstrom) ability will be added later, but is currently bugged.

T.C.C. - Edited from the Tassadar/Zeratul archon, the Transport and Command Center can ferry units across the battlefield quickly and safely, as there are no aerial transport units. It is tankier than the R.C.C., but performs worse in combat. It is equipped with a Paladin Gauss Accelerator for ground attacks and a Pintle-Mounted M-98 for aerial defence.

R.C.C. - Premier artillery unit with a devastating long-range attack. Can also carry units, and faster, but lacks the protection of the T.C.C. cannot attack air. Is a detector.

Brarvall-Class Escort - A typical scout, equipped for scouting and anti-capital ship engagements. Not many changes from vanilla.

Legate-Class Frigate - Based on the Corsair, is an excellent anti-air artillery unit. Fires a massive bolt of plasma that decimates air units in the vicinity, much like a Siege Tank. Can cast Gamma Radiation Field, which disables enemy weapons in the area cast.

Einherjar-Class Baseship - A typical carrier, not much is changed. New voice lines were added.

Garrack-Class Crusier - Based on the Arbiter, can cast Wormhole Transit and Stasis field, while also giving off a passive Cloaking Field. Wormhole Transit will be moved to the Baseship in the future, and the Cloaking Field will be removed entirely.

Those are the updates to all the Protoss units! As you can see, there have been many changes. I always hate when modders don't list what changes they've made, and I wanted to inform my audience on what's been going on. See you next time for the building changes!
