yes of course you can play many maps in single player mod but the best issue is in "cooperative (cooperation) mod".
For that do:
Run "gw"
In gw menu select:
Multiplayer
Create local
Cooperation
About max player select "1"
About "Number of bots" select "48"
About "Bot ratio" select "50"
Choose a map
Click "START SERVER"

All my congratulations to the devs about this new version 0.4 of Global Warfront. You have very reactive (version 0.3 in 2013 December then after version 0.4 in 2014 January).
And on many of maps we can play in "cooperative (cooperation)mod" and it is a very good thing to run a LAN!
You are in good way!

We have lots of updates fast cause it is still in Beta.
You should re-texture all the weapons.

Weapon sounds are HORRIBLE! You need to fix 'em! Also some animations are like "What the **** is this ****?"!
