Project "Savior" is a mod designated to increase the lifespan of AvP2 internet multiplayer games, by providing an alternate master server. The aim is also to keep the user experience the same. It will basically allow players to find and join online AvP2 multiplayer servers. What happens next is up to the players' skills.
Having the server list retrieved directly from Gamespy, the master server patch v1.5 assures that AvP2 remains online as long as Gamespy exists as a company.

What happens when a strong headed community is faced with a problem such as getting the list of servers for their favourite game?
You get the master server patch:
Reaching version 1.5.1, the following features must be noted:
So, get it while it's hot, and I hope I'll see you online!

This is a gift sent from the heavens!
Awesome ! Time to Hunt again ! ;)
So this means that i can find my old avp2 disc, instal the game, and play online even if the servers were shut down?
Exactly, my friend.
im so getting this once i find my discs again! now anyone got a spare key? ;)
Sierra shut down the server checking CD keys, so ...
I was running the 1.3 version of the "client" and getting the server list fine, but hadn't played in a while and when I tried recently, I kept coming up with an empty server list. Searching around, I found out about the 1.3-to-1.5 upgrade, which I installed but still come up empty searching for servers.
Should I try the full install above?
Try the 1.3 to 1.5.1 upgrade first, since it's a much smaller file. If that doesn't work alright, then use the full version one.
