Time for the third of our Battlefield 2: Australian Forces community updates. Straight off the bat, the reports of the mods death were greatly exaggerated. We are still hard at work on the mod, but real life and PPP's (Piss Poor Patches) are getting in the way of 0.3's release.

All-Terrain Vehicle (modelled by BEEX)
All-Terrain Vehicles have been utilised in numerous modern conflicts, primarily in the Middle-East. The Australian Army continues to use six-wheel all-terrain vehicles in Iraq and Afghanistan, allowing for sniper and recon teams to rapidly deploy in the field.

Leopard 1 MBT (modelled by BEEX)
The Leopard (or Leopard 1) is a German designed and produced main battle tank that first entered service in 1965 and was used as the main MBT for Germany, other European countries, Australia, Canada and Chile. Having served Australia faithfully for close to thirty years, the fleet of aging Leopard tanks are in the process of being replaced by the M1 Abrams.

84mm Carl Gustav MRAAW (modelled by Vando, textured by arkanis50)
The Carl Gustav is the common name for the 84mm recoilless rifle anti-tank weapon. Also known as the 84 mm Carl Gustav Medium Range Anti-Armour Weapon, or Carl Gutsache by Australian infantry, the Carl Gustav was first introduced in 1946, and while similar weapons of the era have generally disappeared, the Carl Gustav remains in widespread use today. When the task is above the LAW, you need to call on Carl Gustav.

Timed C4 Explosives(modelled and textured by BEEX)
When you become an Engineer in the army, you are trained in the art of blowing shit up! Need to remove a pesky bridge or barrier? Need to disable or destroy an enemy vehicle? It's now as easy as deploying a timed C4 explosive pack and counting to ten. Why should the Spec Ops have all the explosives? Yes? it really does count down to ten.

ASLAV-PC (modelled and textured by BEEX)
The ASLAV-PC (Personnel Carrier) variant is a two man vehicle (commander and gunner) typically used in reconnaissance, with the ability to transport numerous cavalry scouts or infantry soldiers. The ASLAV-PC is armed with a Kongsberg Protector Remote Weapon System, allowing the gunner to operate the weapon from within the relative safety of the armoured vehicle.

Here are some more ingame screenshots and renders provided by Beex.

ASLAV-25 (modelled and textured by BEEX)
The Australian Light Armoured vehicle (ASLAV) is a highly mobile, amphibious eight wheeled armoured vehicle that is ideally suited to conduct reconnaissance and surveillance operations. The ASLAV-25 variant is the Australian version of the LAV-25.

That's the end of the third update. We have a heap more content being polished and prepped, some of which we do not plan on showing the public before the release. We are waiting to see how this 1.31 patch bodes before we look at any official release dates.

That is a hell long newspost.

That stuff looks pretty neat. I'd love to see the Leo skinned and finished.

Will you limit the downloads to AUS or Oceania only?
