Description: The Apocalypse Weapons modification has a main objective: Turn your Unreal Tournament into a real Deathmatch. You'll now have powerfull and balanced weapons to use. New pickups were made to suit the mass deathmatch. Neat features will give you more power and speed. A new atmosphere will be born in your computer. Blood will be as simple as a cup of water. That's the Apocalypse Weapons. A small and simple Modification... ...that turns your UT into a really Unreal Challenge. Story: After the sucessful first Tournament, the Liandry Industries've decided to upgrade future Tournaments. So, the Apocalypse Weapons project was created. The base of the project was the addition of much more bloody and frantic deathmatches, by including totally new lethal and balanced weapons. And then, the project was launched. A long search for mercenaries, lunatics and scientists had begun. After years of work, three weapons were ready, so they put them into action. The Unreal Tournament...

But, when I think about everything this mod made to me, I feel quite happy about it. I'm sure that almost no one had the oportunity to see the mod growing like me, but anyway, it was amazing.

From the first release (3rd, May 2002), which was just a buggy pack of 3 weapons which would just screw up the game and brutally kill your frames... it turned out to be a great mod.

I mean, I really had fun with it... making it, without any knowledge. And I hope some people could have fun with it, too.

When I stop to think about the time I spent in it, the huge work I had to do everything, and see the final result, I can't blame for a thing. It's just great. I'm sure it could be much better, but... I don't know.

There're tons of things which just this mod have... the aiming system (where an invisible line would help the angle of the fired projectiles, so they'd really go where you were aiming), original items/effects/features... the menu, where you could customise almost everything... oh well, so many things.

I must say that I really enjoy reading the reviews @ modsquad, even the ones from older versions (yeah, AW Beta 1 too, hehe)...

It was just great... now, it's time to move on. I'm trying to find a game to make a new mod (based on something more concrete, so I would never limit it to a simple weapons mod). Just keep checking this profile: Maverick Hunters - I might change its name and content, at the right moment.

Again, thanks to everyone that played it, told me nice things (and... not-so-nice things as well), I just hope you all could have as much fun as I had with it. It's just for fun, right?

I might update the description later, with a few links where you can find the reviews I'm talking about... and other things. Later, thanks for your attention.

I'm saddened to hear that the beast that was going to be AW-X has stopped, but nothing can last forever, and when I read this I have to say, I will miss it, but at the very least I have the AW-X Alpha, and I know I made my contributions, so every time I pick up the Vampire Totem, I shoot someone in the crotch getting that CROTCH SHOT message, and see the messages that I sujested, I will smile, and think I helped with that!

I'll miss it!
