Happy Tuesday everybody! We have two, possibly even three exciting pieces of news:

Age of Bronze 1.7 is around the corner - with it expected to be released by the end of this week at the latest! In this update we bring more quality of life improvements, a rework of many of our unit cards, and a huge amount of new content for the Greek factions to replace some of the older stuff (no small thanks to our new artist Benjin). We've snuck in a screenshot of the now very lovely-looking Mycenaeans on the charge. As soon as 1.7 is available to download you'll all be the first to know!

In other exciting news, we were recently contacted by acclaimed historical fiction author Gordon Doherty (known for his Legionary and Strategos series) - himself a big fan of Total War, and, to our pleasant surprise, Age of Bronze. Gordon's got a new book out - Empires of Bronze: Son of Ishtar. Set in a Hittite Empire close to the peak of its power, Son of Ishtar follows the story of a young Hittite prince cursed to be a pariah to his own people, yet drawn irrevocably into war in the face of a Kaskan invasion.

It is set to be the first in a new series set right in the middle of our time period, which we think is pretty great. Gordon thinks it's pretty great as well - so much so in fact that he's rustled up three (3) free copies of the Empires of Bronze: Son of Ishtar audiobook along with eight (8) copies of the eBook for us to give away in a raffle. We'll be making a follow-up post soon with more details on that and how to enter.

Finally, we have a small snippet of something to show you all... I wonder what it could be?
