Hey, anyone who is listening, this is my first blog. I just thought I would give a quick overview of what i would like to achieve. Firstly, I want to get into modding and learn C++ as this the language I will need to know to get into video games programming as a job and even into University (im in 6th form).
To do this, im going to start small and slowing rise up the ladder. Basically, im going to start modding "Diablo II", an old favorite of mine. I chose this game because it is old, and wouldnt be as hard to program a for, as is seems.
My goal at the moment (other than learning C++) is to remake the recent PC release "Dark Sector". I chose this game beacuse it is lots of fun to play and I have completed the storyline countless times without hitting the wall of bordem. I thought there were a few thinga that could have been done better, for starters, the graphics were nice, but could do with a nice "Unreal Engine 3" spice-up. This gives me the game that i am hoping to mod to get the remake, "Unreal Tournament 3".
