You know what I don't get? How the Rebel Alliance won the Battle of Endor.
Sure, Luke Skywalker (sort of) defeated the Emperor, with help from good ol' Dad. But the death of the Emperor surely shouldn't mean that the Empire would lose.
The Empire had dozens of Star Destroyers blockading the Rebel fleet, not to mention the infinite number of TIE's that swarmed the Rebels. The Rebels had like, 2 Calamari Cruisers, a couple of Nebulon B Frigates, some Gallofree transports, and a handful of fighters that were like invincible. Do the math: hundreds>dozens. So the Empire should've won.
But the audience wanted a feel good story, so Lucas gave them one. The Rebels thoroughly beat the Empire and the Executor as well, which has the firepower to equal an entire fleet. So hip-hip-hooray for Leia, Han, Luke, Wedge and the rest of the gang. They beat a more numerous enemy with help from *gasp* George Lucas. And Darth Vader. Can't forget him ;)
but if you divided a certain number from each side and subtract........ lol. Your right!
And when the emperor died, the Imperial forces lost hope. Remember from Heir to the Empire, Pelleon thought if only Thrawn were at the battle of endor what would've happend.
