In case you didn't read the last Beyond Reality news update I will fill you in. Basically the Beyond Reality Dev team has dissipated and the only one left is me. I need quite a few positions to be filled, and if you are interested in helping out in the mod then visit the Beyond Reality news section for more info.
Basically my computer got a virus and I almost lost the Beyond Reality files again. I need a place to store them online, but I want it to be pretty secure at the same time. I'm running Windows 7 and I hadn't had any problems until I wiped my other HDD that was on my computer clean after it had XP. After that the boot partitions on my drives basically corrupted. I am assuming it was a virus because I don't know what else could have done it, but I am gonna have to get some anti-virus now.
On to Beyond Reality though.
I am still drawing out some ideas for it, I've got quite a few good ideas as to what things I want the player to see and what I want the player to be able to do. I would really appreciate if I could get someone that is talented in the script like area that could get me an iron sight modification to take out the cross-hairs. Also, if someone knows how to change the suit aux power when sprinting text let me know, I want it to say something like endurance instead.
I am thinking about setting up a twitter, if I were to do so would anyone be interested in following it? The only plus to having one would be to constantly update new ideas and see what you guys think about them.
Also, one of my good friends is currently working on a mod called "Push". The objective from what I hear is like the mod Hidden: Source, if you have played that. Basically one player in this mod is going to have the ability to manipulate physical objects to kill the other players while the others are trying to kill the one special person. I'm not sure how it is gonna play out as far as story or anything goes, but if I get info and he doesn't mind I will let you guys know.
Last thing I want to mention is the Wolf 3d Source mod. I was accepted as a mapper as many of you know, but due to my computer issues I am not able to map for it at the moment. If you have any talents or know someone with talents to help out on this mod then do so. It is looking great and the dev team is doing a great job making sure it stays true to the original.
Anyway, I'm off to bed. I've got an early start tomorrow if I want to map a little before school.
