This has been known for a while, but Rebellion is currently making a next gen Aliens vs Predator game. It will be for the PC, Xbox 360, and the PS3, and has a planned release date of February of 2010 I for one, will be getting the PC version (most likely the very day it comes out XD) for a few reasons.

1. Optimized Graphics
With every PC game I've played, and then compared it to it's console counterpart, I've found that the PC versions usually have the better graphics. The textures, playermodels, and sometimes even animations are of a higher quality. I expect the same to happen with AvP.

2. Patches
Not everyone releases patches for console games, It's sad, but it's the truth. Although I can't speak for any of Rebellion's console games, I CAN say that Rebellion has a very nice history of releasing patches for their computer games. AvP2, for example, has had about 3 different patches made for it. (And yes, I still do play AvP2)

3. More Gameplay Functions
There are a lot of keys on a keyboard, at least more than 50. Most, if not all, of those keys can be configured to do something on a video game. That's a lot of configuration options, more than any console controller. That means that the PC version of AvP could easily have twice as much content as the console games, If that was what Rebellion wanted.

4. Mods
The pinnacle of PC games, and the very reason for this site, is moddability. Moddability on a PC game allows the game to last much longer than anyone would expect. Not just reskins and the such, but fullblown TC's such as RaW, and AJL's mod. Both of Rebellion's AvP games were moddable, so I have no reason to doubt that this newest version will be as well.

5. Optimized Online Play
It's the computer, it's fucking optimized for online. 'Nuff said.

Anyways, whether it be PC or console, be sure to check out this awesome game
