Recently purchased SickBrick, and am pretty excited about it.

However, my one qualm with it at this time of writing is that it runs using a WINE wrapper for the Linux edition. The develepors have taken notice of how interested the Linux community are, and hopefully are working towards getting the engine ported to Linux.

Overall the game has rather neat graphics for an Indie developer group/company. The storyline is intriguing as well and without a doubt the weirdest way to start a game is in the bathroom, which is what SickBrick does.

This game has also given me a more realistic view on what can be achieved in a short time in terms of a 3D game with a rather small development team. I am looking to make a 3D game in the near future, and am currently scouting out people I know locally with the proper talents and skills. Amongst some I've discovered and know well are a designer( Interface and general game design ), a 2D + 3D artist skilled in Photoshop and various 3D modelling software and some peers who are as interested and skilled in programming as I am. Currently however, I'm the only one amongst my peers who knows some OpenGL and has (rather beginner) knowledge in the field of general game programming algorithms, methodologies and APIs (SDL, Allegro, Ogre3D).

I guess thats it for my first blog. The purpose I posted this is also for my future self (besides the interest of the general public) to evaluate how far I've come in everything I am currently pursuing.
