After experiencing many a problem in Windows Vista (and it was probably my favorite 64 bit OS from microsoft yet...) such as partition errors caused by the partition my files were on (not my dedicated windows partition) and a random WINDOWS - NO DISK error that's caused by a mundane amount of reasons, I've decided to run totally on ubuntu.
Its much easier to do everything, from taking pictures of your desktop or even videos to having dynamic backgrounds that change on a time (I love you wallpaper tray). My only gripe of course is the lack of developer (atleast video card and game developers) support on this exquisite operating system (ubuntu to be exact). The new notification system is rad as well.
Developing applications should be easier as well, since I won't need to bother with .NET and can use things like Gtk and Qt. Now I just need to finish learning C...
