So, here we have Kickrock, the first game i've actually released to Google Play Store (or anywhere, for that matter). Like, release with the intent of others downloading and playing it; and I know how dumb it sounds for that to be a new reason to release something. But for all the time i've spent screwing around in game design, "release" is an ability I have yet to really stack any points into. So, i've decided to put all my other projects on the backburner in order to pursue a lil' bit of mobile game development.
Now while I don't consider Mobile to be a particularly great platform for gaming, or Kickrock a particularly outstanding game, it provides a much easier window to step into for Indie development. And while I do think cellphones are an ill-equipped medium for games, I really want to strive to create mobile games that can appeal to people without the usual carrot-stick tactics many popular games are built off today. The one i'm working on now should incorporate something neat.
Nah, be honest. I like honest. And yes, i am shameless.
