Things are moving forward slowly but surely. Check out our brand-spanking new perk menu!

SWEET NEW GJRAPHIGZ

I’ve been teasing this little baby for a while now, and it’s finally nearing completition: check out our improved perk menu!

Again, though it looks pretty damn sweet already, there’s still a little tweaking left to do before we’re 100% happy with it. Pretty sure we’ll have it ready for our next build in any case.

But if the team is working on other stuff, then who’s driving the graphics!?

NEW TEAM MEMBER: TEEMU THE ARTIST

Yes in-deedly-doodly! Teemu jumped aboard our merry little boat a few weeks back and has been working on prettying up our HUDs. The new perk menu will serve as a template for the rest of our HUDs and menus, so expect to see stuff get prettier in the future. Unfortunately for us, Teemu’s currently busy finishing up his thesis (and degree), so he only comes to the office a couple times a week, which means progress is going to be on the slow side. Nevertheless, we’re glad to have him aboard!

I’M DA BOSS

In addition to new player characters, Mikko has been working on our first big boss monster. The graphics are coming along nicely, so hopefully we can get around to implementing him soon. Not going to promise we’ll have him ready for our next build, but it never hurts to be optimistic.

BUG FIXIN’

Though our builds so far have been relatively bug free (as far as we know) it seems we still managed to miss a few of the nasties in our fix-build a few weeks back. Though they’re nothing major, bugs are always bugs and need to be squished. Thankfully Risto has been active on this front and wielding our trusty Bug-Fixenator 2000 with great effect. On the flip-side that also means he hasn’t had that much time to work on new stuff, but that’s how game development is sometimes.

SUMMARY

Eeyup. That about wraps up this week. We’re still working on new characters, achievements and online co-op, but these things take time. Perhaps we’ll have more cool things to show next week.
