I am no hexen modder so my tip might as well be off-topic :)
Does hexen support image blending modes? Then you could simply overlay another sky and set it to "add"
Maybe you can simply make the sky "glowy" in GIMP or photoshop.. :)

I can overlay it! That layer must not be solid.
Standard texture is 64x128, when you raise the ceiling height the texture will repeat. Not exactly what I want, and I don't want to make a big texture with the graphics pasted below for the sole purpose of having a glowing sky.
I've seen a WAD that has multiple F_SKY flats. I'm trying to figure out how it does it by scanning the WAD's data files with these eyes of mine. :)

I want to use multiple F_SKY flats to create glowing skies in Doom 64 style with GLDEF. They are named like F_SKY01, F_SKY02, ...
But they are not used the same way.
I'm wondering how to do it?
