Chaosoft Games' most recent title is EvilQuest, an action/RPG with retro bit-style graphics. EvilQuest puts a twist on the genre by placing the player in the role of a villain bent on world domination rather than the traditional role of a hero saving the world. Chaosoft Games consists of the two founding members, Forrest McCorkle (Lead Programmer, Music) and Josh Ferguson (Lead Artist, Music/Sound, as well as Michael Hogan (artist). EvilQuest launched on Xbox Live Indie Games on January 4, 2012 and is available for 80 MSP ($1 US). A PC version of EvilQuest will follow soon.

EvilQuest, the new Action/RPG by Chaosoft Games, was released to the world on Xbox Live Indie Games on January 4, 2012.

EvilQuest is available for 80 MSP/$1 US and can be found on Xbox Live by using the Bing search or browsing the XBLIG Marketplace. There is also a link below to purchase the game online, after which it will download automatically to your Xbox 360 game library the next time you sign on to Xbox Live.

It's been quite a time since release just keeping up with promotion, sales, ratings, reviews, interviews, and interaction with fans - but overall we're thrilled with the response we've received from the XBLIG community. Tonight we're celebrating our successful launch with a release party at a local gaming-themed bar that has classic arcade cabinets and console games on tap.

We're also releasing a patch very soon that will add some additional tips and instructions to help first-time players, and also trim a little bit of the length of the intro without damaging the story we want to tell.

We continue to work on the PC port of EvilQuest and basically have a workable version finished already. However, It still needs some additional features and extensive testing on a variety of hardware before we'll be ready to release it.

For now, check out the game on the Xbox, or stay tuned to the Chaosoft Games website and social media channels for info about the release date of the PC port as well as our future projects.

Thank you to all of our fans and customers who purchased EvilQuest, and to those in the XBLIG community as well as the larger indie community who have helped to support and promote us.
